Requires the Department of Health to notify out-of-state prescription drug wholesale distributor permit applicants of their permit status within 60 days of receiving all required documentation.

Maintains existing $100,000 bond requirement for out-of-state prescription drug wholesale distributors applying for new permits or renewals.

Continues requirement that out-of-state prescription drug wholesale distributors maintain a valid license or permit in their state of residence.

Preserves exemption from permitting requirements for intracompany transfers of prescription drugs between out-of-state and in-state wholesale distributors operating under the same business name.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
