Repeals section 215.95, Florida Statutes, eliminating the Financial Management Information Board.

Transfers authority and responsibilities from the Financial Management Information Board to the Florida Financial Management Information System Coordinating Council, which is established and chaired by the Chief Financial Officer.

Removes requirements for the Coordinating Council to obtain board approval for policies, procedures, and recommendations related to the Florida Financial Management Information System and instead grants the council direct authority to adopt and implement such decisions.

Eliminates references to Financial Management Information Board coordination requirements in sections 215.985 and 216.141, Florida Statutes, streamlining the governance structure for financial management systems.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
