Civil Air Patrol was established December 1, 1941, and became the federally chartered auxiliary of the United States Air Force under President Truman in 1946

Florida Wing operates three primary mission areas: cadet programs for youth ages 12-21, aerospace education in schools, and emergency services including search and rescue and disaster relief

Florida Wing comprises more than 3,800 volunteer members and flew over 7,145 hours while executing more than 385 missions in the state during the past year

Directs the Florida Senate to present an official copy of the resolution to the Florida Wing, Civil Air Patrol as recognition of the organization's service
