SPB 7086 - 2011-2012 General Appropriations Act Implementation

• Implements the 2011-2012 General Appropriations Act by authorizing fund transfers between appropriation categories for fixed capital outlay projects in public schools and other specified purposes

• Reduces annual salaries of Florida Legislature members by 7 percent for fiscal year 2011-2012, reverting to 2010 salary levels effective June 30, 2012

• Requires Department of Corrections and Department of Juvenile Justice to obtain prior approval before closing or substantially reducing operations at correctional institutions

• Establishes Judicial Caseload Incentive Plan providing $3,000 quarterly awards to judges in circuits meeting performance goals for case resolution

• Creates Florida Base Realignment and Closure Task Force to prepare the state for federal military base closures and support defense-related economic development
