City of Hollywood authorized to pay Ronald Miller $100,000 in additional compensation for injuries sustained in a July 30, 2002 motor vehicle accident caused by city employee Robert Mettler's negligence.

City has already paid $100,000 under statutory liability limits; this additional $100,000 payment represents a negotiated settlement of the case.

Original jury judgment was $1,130,731.89 plus $17,257.82 in costs; combined payments from all sources ($200,000 total) constitute sole and final compensation for all present and future claims related to the accident.

All expenses including attorney's fees, lobbying fees, and costs shall be paid from the awarded amount on a pro rata basis, with total fees and expenses limited to 15 percent of the $100,000 award.

Act takes effect upon becoming law.
