Amends section 817.357 of Florida Statutes to establish transparency requirements and consumer protections for ticket sales at publicly-funded venues.

Requires original ticket sellers to provide advance public notice of ticket policies including event details, total tickets available, public sale tickets, pricing, on-sale dates, sales outlets, refund policy, and customer service phone number.

Establishes minimum consumer protection standards including maintaining a toll-free customer service number and providing full refunds for canceled events, counterfeit tickets, canceled tickets, non-conforming tickets, or undelivered tickets.

Prohibits original ticket sellers from imposing resale restrictions, contractual prohibitions on ticket transfer, or using technological means to prevent ticket resale; prohibits legal action against purchasers or resale facilitators for unauthorized resale.

Violations of these requirements constitute violations of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act; exempts charitable events distributing free tickets and not-for-profit educational institutions distributing tickets to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and booster organizations; effective July 1, 2012.
