Requires basic training programs for emergency medical technicians, paramedics, firefighters, and law enforcement officers to include curriculum on SUID recognition and appropriate response procedures.

Mandates the Medical Examiners Commission to develop and implement a protocol for medical and legal investigation of sudden unexpected infant deaths, with requirements for scene investigations and tissue sampling.

Clarifies that sudden unexpected deaths of infants under 1 year in apparent good health fall under medical examiner jurisdiction per section 406.11, expanding from the previous requirement to autopsy only suspected SIDS cases.

Removes references to SIDS hotline services and local SIDS alliances from Department of Health duties while maintaining coordination with the Florida SIDS Alliance.
