Authorizes physicians who are dispensing practitioners to dispense and fill prescriptions for injured workers under workers' compensation.

Prohibits employers, carriers, and the Department of Financial Services from selecting which pharmacy, pharmacist, or dispensing practitioner a claimant must use when a dispensing practitioner provides treatment.

Establishes reimbursement for repackaged or relabeled medications calculated using the original manufacturer's per-unit average wholesale price plus a $4.18 dispensing fee, capped at the amount payable for the unmodified drug.

Requires contracts for pharmaceutical services to rely only on providers reasonably accessible to employees and allows employees to receive applicable fee schedule reimbursement when using non-contracted dispensing practitioners.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
