Creates s. 322.097, F.S. to establish a Teen Electronic Event Notification Service for parents or guardians of drivers under 18 years of age.

Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles shall electronically notify parents/guardians via email or text message when traffic citations, traffic convictions, license suspensions/revocations, or vehicle crashes are added to a minor's driving record.

Notifications are discontinued upon parent/guardian request or when the driver reaches 18 years of age.

Department charges a $5 fee per application to cover administrative costs, with surplus revenue directed toward teen safe driving promotion programs.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
