Creates section 1012.583, Florida Statutes, requiring the Commissioner of Education to develop recommendations for incorporating suicide prevention instruction into continuing education and inservice training for instructional and administrative personnel.

Recommendations must include instruction on state and local educational resources that promote awareness and prevention of youth suicide.

Department of Education must incorporate the Commissioner's recommendations into existing continuing education requirements beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, without increasing total required training hours.

State Board of Education is authorized to adopt rules necessary to implement this section.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
