Excludes real property owned in tenancy by the entireties or in joint tenancy with rights of survivorship from the definition of "protected homestead" under Florida probate law, effective July 1, 2012.

Revises the deadline for an attorney in fact or guardian of a surviving spouse's property to petition for court approval to elect a one-half interest in the decedent's homestead to 6 months after death, with a minimum 30-day extension after court approval.

Clarifies that amendments to section 732.102 regarding a spouse's intestate estate share apply only to decedents dying on or after October 1, 2011.

Creates section 732.1081 to bar natural or adoptive parents whose parental rights were previously terminated pursuant to chapter 39 from inheriting from or through a child, treating them as if they predeceased the child, effective July 1, 2012.
