• Deletes the Division of Standards from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and repeals related statutes governing the division's powers and duties.

• Amends surveyor and mapper licensure requirements, including provisions for child support enforcement compliance, continuing education monitoring, and license denial/suspension procedures.

• Modifies private investigator and security services firearms training requirements to allow waivers under specified circumstances for initial licensure and renewal.

• Revises consumer protection regulations including health studio contracts, telephone solicitation, brake fluid registration, antifreeze registration, and business opportunity disclosures; eliminates social security number requirements in several registration processes.

• Becomes effective July 1, 2012.
