Department of Environmental Protection shall monitor consumptive use permits for bottled water companies to ensure compliance with water extraction limits, measured in gallons at the bottling facility.

Bottled water companies assessed a fee of 5 cents per gallon on all water extracted for bottled water production, with proceeds deposited into the Water Protection and Sustainability Program Trust Fund.

Daily fines not to exceed $500 imposed for each day a company withholds payment of required fees.

Department shall adopt rules to implement and enforce these provisions under Florida Administrative Code procedures.

Exemption applies to bottled water companies extracting less than 55 million gallons per calendar year.
