Amends Florida Statute 843.02 to expand the definition of persons protected under resisting without violence laws to include "other persons legally authorized to execute process" in addition to officers.

Prohibits a finding of resistance, obstruction, or opposition based solely on "mere flight" from an officer or other specified person.

Changes statutory language from "shall be guilty of" to "commits" a first-degree misdemeanor, with punishment per sections 775.082 or 775.083.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
