Amends Florida Statutes s. 790.06 to prohibit concealed weapons or firearm licenses from authorizing open carry of handguns or concealed carry into specified locations.

Adds prohibition on carrying concealed weapons or firearms into any state, county, municipal, school board, constitutional officer's, or special district office or building that primarily consists of offices for one of these entities or any combination of them.

Adds prohibition on carrying concealed weapons or firearms into child care facilities as defined in s. 402.302.

Maintains existing prohibitions on carrying weapons in places of nuisance, law enforcement stations, detention facilities, courthouses, polling places, legislative meetings, schools, airports, and other federally prohibited locations.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
