Exempts home addresses, telephone numbers, and photographs of current and former investigators and inspectors of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation from public records disclosure, along with same information for their spouses, children, and children's schools/day care facilities.

Exempts home addresses and telephone numbers of county tax collectors from public records disclosure, along with same information for their spouses, children, and children's schools/day care facilities.

Both exemptions for DBPR investigators/inspectors and county tax collectors require the employee to have made reasonable efforts to protect the information from being accessible through other public means.

Both exemptions are subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and shall automatically repeal on October 2, 2017, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts them.

Legislature finds that releasing such identifying and location information could endanger these employees and their families from disgruntled individuals affected by enforcement or revenue collection actions, and that the harm from disclosure outweighs any public benefit.
