Amends Section 394.913 to require the Department of Children and Family Services to prioritize assessment and written recommendations for individuals scheduled for release when assessments are not completed at least 365 days before their release date.

Modifies Section 394.9135 to extend time periods for filing petitions to hold individuals in custody by allowing filings on the next working day when the deadline falls after 5 p.m., on weekends, or holidays.

Removes the exception for deportation detainers from Section 394.917, requiring all detainees to be committed to the Department of Children and Family Services upon expiration of their sentences and disposition of any detainers.

Creates new Section 394.9265 making it unlawful to knowingly bring contraband into or remove it from facilities holding sexually violent predators, with contraband defined as intoxicating beverages, controlled substances, and firearms or weapons; violations are felonies of the third degree.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
