Creates section 284.51, F.S. establishing workplace safety requirements for all public employers including state, county, and municipal government agencies and school districts.

Requires all public employers to comply with federal OSHA general industry standards (29 C.F.R. part 1910) and construction standards (29 C.F.R. part 1926) by June 30, 2015.

Mandates the Department of Financial Services to annually report injury and illness data for public employers in aggregate and per-employer basis to the Governor, President of the Senate, and Speaker of the House, with data published on the department's website.

Requires the Department of Financial Services to establish and publicize workplace safety information on its website by October 1, 2012 for public employers and employees to access.

Effective date: July 1, 2012.
