• Require all licensed health care practitioners to wear name badges displaying their licensure credentials when rendering professional health care services.

• Expand advanced registered nurse practitioner prescribing authority to include Schedule II through Schedule V controlled substances under an established protocol with physician supervision, with requirements for 6 months direct supervision and pharmacology training.

• Authorize certified registered nurse anesthetists to order pain-relieving drugs while managing patients in postanesthesia recovery areas.

• Extend clinical laboratory licensure requirements to practitioners licensed to practice nursing under chapter 464.

• Amend the definition of "practitioner" in controlled substances law to include advanced registered nurse practitioners licensed under chapter 464, effective July 1, 2012.
