Authorizes Pasco County Sheriff's Office to pay Jennifer Wohlgemuth $8,624,754.40 for injuries sustained when struck by a Sheriff's Office vehicle driven by Deputy Kenneth Petrillo on January 3, 2005

Deputy Petrillo was traveling at over 20 miles per hour above the speed limit without activating his siren or lights during a high-speed pursuit and drove through a red light, striking Wohlgemuth's vehicle on the passenger side

Wohlgemuth suffered severe brain injuries including subdural hematoma and subarachnoid hemorrhage, requiring skull removal and leaving her with permanent cognitive and physical impairments requiring 24/7 supervision

Trial court awarded total damages of $9,141,267.32 on March 12, 2009, finding Deputy Petrillo 95 percent responsible; Second District Court of Appeal affirmed the amended judgment of $8,724,754.40 on March 10, 2010

Attorney fees, lobbying fees, costs, and similar expenses may not exceed 25 percent of the $8,624,754.40 award, and this payment combined with the statutory $100,000 already paid constitutes sole compensation for all claims arising from the incident
