FL H1361

Adds a new subsection (8) to Florida Statutes s. 112.317 establishing a third-degree felony for any public officer who fails to pay an imposed fine or penalty within 2 years after imposition or within 2 years after leaving public office.

Punishments for the felony are provided under s. 775.082 or s. 775.083 of Florida Statutes.

Corrects grammatical language in subsection (2) regarding the Attorney General's authority to collect attorney's fees and court costs.

Makes technical corrections to subsection (7) changing "attorney" to "attorney's" in references to attorney's fees for defendants in malicious complaint cases.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
