Relocates the John A. H. Murphree Law Library from the courthouse to the Alachua County Library District Headquarters.

Removes outdated sections from chapter 57-1118, Laws of Florida relating to assessment of occupational license fees ($5.00) and civil court costs ($5.00) for the law library.

Retains the five-member Board of Trustees governance structure consisting of the chief judge of the Eighth Judicial Circuit, a county commissioner representative, the circuit court clerk, and two practicing attorneys appointed by the bar association.

Maintains authorization for the county to appropriate available funds and establishes the "Alachua County Law Library Fund" for library operations, equipment, and personnel.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
