Authorizes Miami-Dade County to appropriate $470,000 to Monica Cantillo Acosta and $470,000 to Luis Alberto Cantillo Acosta as compensation for the wrongful death of their mother, Nhora Acosta, totaling $940,000.

Compensates the surviving children for injuries and death caused by a Miami-Dade County bus driver who accelerated and braked suddenly on November 12, 2004, causing their mother to fall and suffer fatal head injuries.

Establishes that the awarded amounts provide sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from Nhora Acosta's death, settling a case where a jury found the bus driver 100 percent negligent and awarded $3 million in damages per child.

Limits attorney's fees, lobbying fees, costs, and related expenses to not exceed 15 percent of the total amount awarded under the act.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
