Repeals section 215.55865, Florida Statutes, which required the Financial Services Commission to adopt a uniform home grading scale for rating homes' ability to withstand tropical storm and hurricane wind loads.

Amends the My Safe Florida Home Program statute to remove the requirement that hurricane mitigation inspection rating scales use the uniform home grading scale adopted by the Financial Services Commission.

Maintains the My Safe Florida Home Program's core functions, including providing certified inspectors to conduct home-retrofit inspections for site-built, single-family residential properties.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
