Deletes the preferred worker program that previously reimbursed employers from the Special Disability Trust Fund for workers' compensation premiums for permanently impaired workers placed in employment for up to 3 years.

Renumbers subsections (9) through (12) of section 440.49, F.S. as subsections (8) through (11) to reflect the deletion of the preferred worker program provisions.

Updates cross-references in sections 440.50 and 624.4626, F.S. to reflect the renumbered subsections of the Special Disability Trust Fund.

Maintains the Special Disability Trust Fund and continues its reimbursement of employers for subsequent injuries occurring prior to January 1, 1998, but eliminates the specific preferred worker incentive program.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
