Department of Children and Family Services shall evaluate whether required 2012-2013 budget savings can be achieved without outsourcing housekeeping and environmental functions at Florida State Hospital and housekeeping functions at Northeast Florida State Hospital.

If the department determines savings can be achieved without outsourcing, it must submit a detailed plan and budget amendment to the Legislative Budget Commission describing how savings will be realized.

The budget amendment may request an increase in authorized positions, notwithstanding section 216.262, Florida Statutes.

Act takes effect upon becoming law.
