HB 7035 Summary

• Amends sections 458.3193 and 459.0083 of Florida Statutes to make permanent the exemptions from public records requirements for personal identifying information in physician workforce surveys submitted to the Department of Health

• Removes superfluous language by changing references from "subsection" to "section" in disclosure provisions

• Eliminates the scheduled repeal date of October 2, 2012 that was previously required under the Open Government Sunset Review Act, allowing the exemptions to remain in effect indefinitely

• Maintains three exceptions allowing disclosure of protected information: with express written consent of the physician, by court order upon showing good cause, or to approved research entities under specified conditions

• Effective date of October 1, 2012
