HB 7037 Summary

• Amends s. 556.113, F.S., to make permanent the public records exemption for proprietary confidential business information held by Sunshine State One-Call of Florida, Inc.

• Exempts member operator and excavator information including maps, facility location diagrams, damage investigation reports, dispatch methodology, and trade secrets relating to underground utility facilities from public records disclosure requirements.

• Removes the scheduled repeal date of October 2, 2012, that was previously subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act, making the exemption permanent.

• Takes effect October 1, 2012.
