• Replaces certain FCAT assessments with end-of-course assessments in Algebra I, Geometry, Biology I, and Civics education, with online administration required beginning 2014-2015 school year.

• Establishes a six-category intervention system for schools, with the lowest-performing schools required to implement approved turnaround options (district-managed turnaround, student reassignment, charter conversion, contracting with outside operators, or hybrid models).

• Requires school districts to use 15% of Title I funds for supplemental educational services for students performing at FCAT Levels 1-2 and to contract only with state-approved providers.
