Authorizes the City of Tallahassee to appropriate $2.4 million to Irving Hoffman and Marjorie Weiss as compensation for the wrongful death of their daughter Rachel Hoffman.

Rachel Hoffman was murdered in May 2008 while serving as a confidential informant for the Tallahassee Police Department during a drug sting operation.

The murderers, Andrea Green and Deneilo Bradshaw, are both serving life sentences; the City of Tallahassee acknowledges mistakes were made and policies were violated in the case.

The $2.4 million payment, combined with $200,000 already paid, brings the total City of Tallahassee compensation to $2.6 million.

The awarded amount is designated as sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from Rachel Hoffman's death.
