Prohibits utilities from terminating gas or electric service for nonpayment to senior citizens or low-income families when the National Weather Service forecasts temperatures of 32°F or below or 95°F or above in their service area.

Extends the termination prohibition to the 2 calendar days following any day with forecasted extreme temperatures.

Prohibits utilities from terminating service on any day immediately preceding a holiday or weekend when extreme temperatures are forecasted during that holiday or weekend period.

Applies only when gas or electric service is the sole source of cooling or heating for the residence.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
