Increases the penalty for willfully failing to remain at the scene of a crash involving personal injury from a third-degree felony to a second-degree felony under Florida Statute 316.027(1)(a).

Modifies minor language in the statute by changing "any" to "a" and "that" to "which" for grammatical consistency.

Updates the Criminal Punishment Code offense severity ranking chart to reflect the elevated felony classification for failing to remain at a crash scene involving personal injury.

Effective date: July 1, 2012.
