Board of Governors of the State University System must adopt regulations enabling U.S. Armed Forces servicemembers to earn college credit for military training and education at public universities.

State Board of Education must adopt rules enabling eligible Armed Forces members to earn college credit for college-level military training at public postsecondary institutions.

Regulations and rules must establish procedures for evaluating military credentials and awarding academic college credit, including evaluation of equivalency and alignment with college courses.

Regulations and rules must specify course descriptions, types and amounts of college credit that may be awarded, and procedures for credit transfer.

Effective date: July 1, 2012.
