Entities bidding for rail project contracts with the Florida Department of Transportation, state agencies, or local governmental entities must certify their involvement or non-involvement in deportations to extermination or death camps.

Certification requirement applies to contracts for design, engineering, construction, manufacture, or operation of rail networks or components that are partially or fully publicly funded.

Entities must submit certification in advance of submitting their bid to the contracting department, agency, or local governmental entity.

Certification covers the period from January 1, 1939, through December 31, 1944.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
