Limits salaries of employees at entities created under Chapter 348, Florida Statutes, or entities defined in Section 315.02(1) or (2), Florida Statutes, to the salary of the highest-paid statewide elected official as established in the General Appropriations Act, unless approved by the Legislative Budget Commission.

Limits salaries of nonprofit organization employees (other than for-profit businesses) that contract with the state to the same salary cap if the organization receives two-thirds or more of its budget from state-appropriated funds, including state-appropriated federal funds, unless approved by the Legislative Budget Commission.

Exempts hospitals as defined in Section 395.002(12), Florida Statutes, from the nonprofit salary limitation.

Effective July 1, 2012.
