Revises reimbursement requirements for prescription medications in workers' compensation to use average wholesale price plus $4.18 dispensing fee, unless the carrier has contracted for a lower amount.

Establishes that repackaged or relabeled drugs must be reimbursed based on the per-unit average wholesale price set by the original manufacturer of the underlying drug, plus $4.18 dispensing fee.

Requires that repackaged or relabeled drug prices may not exceed the amount that would be payable if the drug had not been repackaged or relabeled.

Clarifies that reimbursement amounts apply regardless of the location or provider from whom the claimant receives the prescription medication.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
