Enterprise Florida, Inc., may establish and promote a comprehensive statewide golf trail to support golf tourism expansion, job creation, and economic development in golf-related industries including hospitality, travel, retail, real estate, and equipment manufacturing.

Enterprise Florida, Inc., shall designate a proprietary name for the golf trail, may license the name to receive compensation, and must maintain and protect the brand, proprietary marks, and intellectual property in accordance with state and federal law.

Enterprise Florida, Inc., may enter into licensing arrangements with golf courses and tourism agencies but cannot accept financial responsibility or liability for the golf trail's creation or activities.

The Department of Economic Opportunity, Florida Tourism Industry Marketing Corporation, and other state and local economic development agencies shall support the development and promotion of the statewide golf trail.

Golf course owners are encouraged to donate all or portions of golf course property to the state, local governments, or nonprofit organizations for public recreational, agricultural, environmental, or educational purposes, and donated property is eligible for ad valorem tax exemption.

Enterprise Florida, Inc., must submit an annual report to the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House by February 1 each year beginning in 2012 on the golf trail's progress and success.
