Amends the definition of "community residential home" to include dwellings that operate as sober house transitional living homes.

Defines "sober house transitional living home" as a peer-supported, alcohol-free and drug-free living environment supervised by a house manager who maintains sobriety and provides structure and peer support.

Requires sober house transitional living homes to comply with local municipal or county standards of occupancy.

Prohibits onsite substance abuse treatment unless provided by a licensed service provider under section 397.311, with an exemption for sober living facilities affiliated with or operated by licensed service providers.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
