School districts must collaborate with the Florida Kidcare program by providing application information or applications to students at the beginning of each school year.

School districts must modify lunch and breakfast program application forms to allow sharing of applicant data with state agencies and the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation for Kidcare enrollment, with an opt-out option for parents or guardians.

School districts may optionally share income and demographic data electronically with state agencies and the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation to determine Kidcare eligibility on a regular basis.

School districts and state agencies must establish interagency agreements ensuring exchanged data is used only for Kidcare enrollment and is protected from unauthorized disclosure under federal law (42 U.S.C. s. 1758(b)(6)).

The Florida Healthy Kids Corporation must include school lunch and breakfast program application forms in its plan to publicize the Florida Kidcare program and its eligibility requirements.
