Creates section 1012.583, Florida Statutes, requiring the Commissioner of Education to develop recommendations for incorporating suicide prevention instruction into continuing education or inservice training for instructional and administrative personnel.

Requires the Department of Education to incorporate the Commissioner's recommendations into existing continuing education or inservice training requirements beginning with the 2012-2013 school year.

Mandates that suicide prevention training recommendations include instruction on available state and local educational resources that promote awareness about and prevention of youth suicide.

Prohibits new suicide prevention training requirements from adding to the total hours already required for continuing education or inservice training.

Authorizes the State Board of Education to adopt rules necessary to implement the requirements of this section.
