SB 1148 - Workplace Safety

• Requires all public employers (state, county, and municipal agencies, including school districts) to comply with federal OSHA general industry and construction standards by June 30, 2015

• Mandates the Department of Financial Services annually report injury and illness data for public employers to the Governor, President of the Senate, and Speaker of the House, with data published on the department's website

• Requires the Department of Financial Services to establish and publicize workplace safety information on its website by October 1, 2012 for public employers and employees to access

• Takes effect July 1, 2012
