Requires persons or entities with automated external defibrillators to notify either the local emergency medical services medical director or local public safety answering point of the defibrillator's location.

Permits 911 public safety telecommunicators to contact owners of registered automated external defibrillators when a confirmed cardiac emergency call occurs within a reasonable distance from the defibrillator's location.

Authorizes telecommunicators to provide the cardiac emergency location to the defibrillator owner to facilitate rapid deployment of the device.

Effective date of July 1, 2012.
