Requires public school instructional staff to provide instruction about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and their impact on the nation.

Instruction must follow approved methods and use materials that meet standards for professionalism and historic accuracy.

Encourages the State Board of Education to adopt standards and pursue assessment of these instructional requirements.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
