Repeals section 215.5586 of Florida Statutes, which established the My Safe Florida Home Program, thereby terminating the program.

Amends section 215.5588 to remove references to grants awarded under the repealed My Safe Florida Home Program.

Allows up to 78 percent of Florida Disaster Recovery Program funds to support eligible disaster-related activities including housing rehabilitation, hardening, mitigation, and infrastructure improvements for low-income homeowners in single-family housing units and condominiums.

Permits up to 20 percent of disaster recovery funds to provide inspections and mitigation improvements to multifamily rental units receiving assistance from federal Housing and Urban Development or Rural Development programs.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
