Creates section 193.076, Florida Statutes, authorizing local governments to levy non-ad valorem assessments to recover costs for eliminating chronic nuisances on real property.

Assessments are superior to all private rights, interests, liens, encumbrances, titles, and claims on the property, and rank equal with ad valorem tax liens.

Local governments may collect assessments using the uniform method under section 197.3632 or by alternative methods provided by law.

Effective date: July 1, 2012.
