Records generated by peer review panels relating to biomedical research grant applications are confidential and exempt from public records disclosure, except for final recommendations.

Exempted information may be disclosed only with express written consent of the affected individual or their representative, or by court order upon showing good cause.

The exemptions are subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeal on October 2, 2017, unless reenacted by the Legislature.
