Reassigns the State of Florida Correctional Medical Authority from the Department of Health to the Executive Office of the Governor for administrative purposes.

Reduces the Correctional Medical Authority's governing board membership from nine to seven persons appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate.

Removes requirements that board members include representatives from the Florida League of Hospitals and the Association of Community Hospitals and Health Systems of Florida, retaining only Florida Hospital Association and Florida Medical Association representation.

Transfers all powers, duties, functions, records, personnel, property, contracts, and administrative rules related to the authority from the Department of Health to the Executive Office of the Governor.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
