Licensed vendors may transport alcoholic beverages from distributors using vehicles owned or leased by the vendor or any person disclosed on the vendor's license application and approved by the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.

Vehicle-disclosed persons must operate the vehicle when transporting alcoholic beverages from a distributor to the vendor's licensed premises or off-premises storage.

The division shall issue vehicle permits or decals marked "Beverage Vehicle No." for a $5 fee per vehicle, valid until the vendor disposes of the vehicle or the alcoholic beverage license is transferred, canceled, not renewed, or revoked.

Vehicles with valid permits are subject to inspection and search without a search warrant by division employees, sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and police officers during business hours or while transporting beverages.

Vehicle permits and invoices or sales tickets for purchased beverages must be carried in the vehicle during transport and delivery.

The illegal transportation of beverages exception is expanded to include authorized persons under section 561.57(3) transporting beverages in properly permitted vehicles.
