Requires all mammography reports provided to patients to include information about breast density based on the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System established by the American College of Radiology.

Mandates that mammography reports include a notice informing patients that dense breast tissue may hide abnormalities and suggesting supplementary screening options including breast ultrasound, breast MRI examination, or both depending on individual risk factors.

Applies the breast density reporting requirement to three types of health insurance policies: accident or health insurance policies (s. 627.6418), group/blanket/franchise accident or health insurance policies (s. 627.6613), and health maintenance contracts (s. 641.31095).

Maintains existing mammography coverage requirements for women at different age groups, including baseline mammograms for ages 35-39, biennial mammograms for ages 40-49, annual mammograms for age 50 and older, and supplemental screening for high-risk women.

Takes effect October 1, 2013.
