Creates section 290.0079 of Florida Statutes to authorize Polk County and eight specific cities (Auburndale, Bartow, Eagle Lake, Fort Meade, Frostproof, Lake Wales, Mulberry, and Polk City) to apply for enterprise zone designations with the Department of Economic Opportunity.

Allows applications to be submitted individually, jointly with the county, or in any combination, with applications required to comply with section 290.0055 requirements.

Permits the department to designate up to eight enterprise zones total, with no more than one zone per city, either individually or in combination with the county.

Overrides existing limitations in section 290.0065 that restrict the total number of enterprise zones designated and the number within population categories.

Takes effect July 1, 2013, with the department establishing the initial effective dates of the designated enterprise zones.
